When motor current continuously exceeds the rated value, the 3S intelligent pump controller trips based on the relationship between current magnitude and duration. The higher the overload current, the faster the trip; near the rated value, short-time overload is tolerated. This prevents motor overheating and burnout while allowing normal operation under brief overload conditions.

Under Current Protection

When the pump experiences low load due to water shortage, pipeline blockage, or mechanical faults, the motor current falls below the normal range. Underload protection detects this abnormal condition in time, preventing dry running or idle operation and protecting the equipment.

Locked Rotor Protection

When the pump impeller is jammed by foreign objects or the shaft cannot rotate, the motor may lock, causing a rapid current surge. Locked-rotor protection detects this condition immediately and disconnects power, preventing motor burnout.

Blockage Protection

When the pump’s inlet or outlet pipeline is blocked by debris, sediment, or valve failure, the flow is severely restricted, causing abnormal motor operation. Blockage protection promptly detects the issue and takes action to prevent motor overload or damage.

When a short circuit occurs in the motor or circuit, the protection device immediately disconnects power to prevent motor damage and fire hazards.

Overvoltage Protection

When the supply voltage is too low, the motor torque becomes insufficient, causing difficult operation, overheating, reduced efficiency, or even winding damage. Undervoltage protection prevents the motor from operating under inadequate voltage, ensuring equipment safety.
